Overview
DSPS establishes and enforces occupational safety and health standards for public sector employees through consultations and inspections. and provides guidance for the care and handling of formaldehyde by public employees. The Department also administers Wisconsin's Clean Indoor Air Act and the Right to Know Law.
Injury and Illness Reporting
Public employers must submit a summary of their previous year's injury and illnesses to DSPS via esla.wi.gov. If no injuries or illnesses occurred during the year, you must still complete the form using a zero where asked to indicate no cases.
After submitting to DSPS, you will receive a confirmation email with a printable version of the injury and illness summary. This summary must be posted in your workplace from February 1 through April 30.
