Overview
The Architects Section is one of six Sections under the Examining Board of Architects. This section oversees credentialing and regulations for matters specific to its unique architectural category and related professions. (Other AE Board sections include Designers, Land Surveyors, Landscape Architects, Professional Engineers, and Registered Interior Designers.)
The Architects Section and all Sections under the Examining Board of Architects were created in Wisconsin Statute 15.405 (2) and has authority as outlined in Wisconsin Statute Chapter 443.

The members of the Architect Section are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Legislature to serve 4-year terms. This board Section consists of 3 architect members and 2 public members.
